At Five4Grace Health Advocates, our mission is to advocate for individuals by promoting their health and well-being. We strive to empower our clients with the necessary resources and information to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes. Through compassionate support and knowledgeable guidance, we aim to ensure that no one navigates the healthcare system alone.

My name is Deborah Edwards, and I am a dedicated health advocate with a deep commitment to guiding individuals and families through the often overwhelming healthcare journey. My path to advocacy began long before I officially embraced this role. Over the years, I supported loved ones through complex healthcare needs — arranging in-home care, managing appointments, and medical billing guidance, coordinated hospice services, and ensuring their voices were heard during critical decisions.
When my own husband entered hospice, I coordinated every detail, from medical equipment and nursing visits to creating a peaceful space filled with family and faith. Today, I continue advocating for other family member's ongoing care, ensuring that they receive the dignity, attention, and compassion that they deserve.
These personal experiences taught me that healthcare is not just about treatment — it’s about clarity, compassion, and confidence. With every family I work alongside, I bring the same care, attention, and advocacy that I offered my own loved ones.
At Five4Grace Health Advocates, my mission is simple: “Advocating for your health, always.”

Why I Became a Health Advocate
The heart of my work lies in the moments that shaped me. I became a health advocate because I lived firsthand what so many families experience — the stress of navigating a complicated healthcare system, the fear of making the wrong decision, and the desperate need for someone to listen and help.
Through this journey and ongoing care of others, I saw how critical it is to have an advocate by your side — someone who understands the system, speaks up when needed, and ensures your wishes are respected.
I created Five4Grace Health Advocates to be that voice, that partner, and that source of guidance for others. My purpose is to walk alongside individuals and families, offering not only practical support but also empathy, encouragement, and peace of mind.
Everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and cared for with dignity. That belief is at the foundation of everything I do.
At the end of the day, my role as your advocate is about giving you the space to focus on what matters most — your health, your family, and your peace of mind.

We help clients review medical bills, Explanation of Benefits statements, and insurance information so charges and coverage are easier to understand. Support may include organizing documents, identifying questions or possible discrepancies, discussing payment-plan options, and communicating with providers or insurance companies. When an appeal is necessary, we can help organize information and explain the general process.
We help clients organize test results and prepare questions for their healthcare provider. After the provider explains the results and recommendations, we can help clients review their notes, identify follow-up questions, and keep important information organized. We do not interpret medical results or provide medical advice.
We help individuals and families locate and compare healthcare and community resources based on their stated needs and preferences. This may include provider directories, transportation services, support programs, home-care resources, and reliable health information. Clients and families make all final decisions.
We assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating requested records or referrals, gathering relevant information, and preparing questions. For local clients, in-person visit support may include taking notes and helping communicate questions to the healthcare provider. After the visit, we can help organize provider instructions and follow-up tasks without interpreting medical information.
We help individuals and families research and compare in-home care, nursing facilities, hospice, and other short- or long-term care options. Support may include gathering information about services, costs, availability, insurance or payment resources, and questions to ask providers. Final care and financial decisions remain with clients, families, and appropriately licensed professionals.
We help clients and families discuss common home-safety concerns and locate resources that may support safer, more independent living. This may include researching equipment or home-modification options, organizing questions, and connecting clients with qualified professionals for formal assessments and recommendations. Five4Grace does not perform clinical or professional home-safety assessments.
